The Portuguese-style villa is situated in the small fishing village
Britona in the heart of Goa, just 5 km from the capital Panaji. The
nearest airport is reachable in 45 minutes, up to the beautiful
beaches of Goa it will take about 20 minutes. The design of the
house is done by the famous architect Dean D'Cruz, who has also
designed many other hotels - such as the Nilaya Hermitage.
There are five guest rooms - including one suite, two double
bedrooms and two single rooms. The airy rooms are individually and
elegantly furnished with antique tables and wardrobes, tester beds
with hand-embroidered linen and decorated with other selected
antiques. The Casa Britona rooms can be rented not only for single
travelers but also as a whole - for families or larger groups.
There is a pool with sun deck and a terrace overlooking the Mandovi
river, on which one can take lunch or can simply relax.
Served in the restaurant in the pavilion-style are especially fresh
seafood such as shrimp, crab, crayfish, lobster, mackerel, mussels,
etc.
